Frequently asked questions

Over the course of developing Waydev, we found some questions pop up more often than others. Here they are:

Generally, our customers are product managers, CTO's & VP's who are focused on tracking the output of their developers.

Waydev it is an add-on to your project management tool, it works automatically without any input from your enginers. A product manager will correlate our report with his weekly output.

Impact - is a metric which shows you how much "cognitive load" did the engineer carry when developing these changes. For calculating it, we give each commit a score based on how much new work, legacy refactor, help others and churn did the programmer and, besides, we look at how many files did he modified and the points where these changes had been made. Commits/Day - is a metric which shows you how much does your team push code on a daily basis. It is the ratio between total commits pushed by the entire team and the number of days with git activity on your project. A commit, or "revision", is an individual change to a file (or set of files). An Active Day is a day in which an engineer pushed code to the project, even if it is new work, legacy refactor, help others or churn code.

Three months back but on request, we can provide starts since from the beginning of the repositories.

Yes, we can select the repositories, either from Github, Bitbucket and Gitlab or all three.

Your security is critical to us. We do not keep a copy of your repositories, we only copy the "GIT" folder and right away after our analyzation is done we delete it. We always connect via SSH key pairs. When you disconnect your repositories, all associated data is purged from the system. This can be accomplished securely by allowing public access via secure SSH access to internal repositories. This ensures that all data transmitted to Waydev is done over a secure protocol, and allows our customers to maintain strict authentication and access security using SSH keys. Waydev is built on the Amazon AWS service. We currently store all data in a secure database. To find out more information about Amazon’s security and infrastructure, please visit their security statement: https://aws.amazon.com/security/

Waydev is based on tiered pricing, the number of developers currently contributing on your team.

We accept Visa, Mastercard or American Express. Waydev is also available on an annual subscription plan at a discounted rate.

Our freemium plan it is foreever free for one developer. Your trial account and be up and running in just a few clicks. At the end of your trial, you will be asked for payment details to continue the service without interruption.

We want you to use Waydev because you’re happy with the service, not because you signed a contract. You can cancel anytime. If you’re on the year prepay plan, we will provide a refund for the remaining unelapsed full months.

This can happen if you've got people on your team contributing under multiple handles, e.g. multiple email addresses associated with a GIT account. To manage author identities, go to TEAM-EDIT > then select the developers you want to merge and click the green "Merge" button. If you need to detach or ignore a developer, that option is found behind the same page.

Yes! Support is included as part of your plan — no extra fees to worry about. Your dedicated account manager is happy to answer any questions you might have. We strive to address questions in a day or less.
