Frequently asked questions

Over the course of developing Waydev, we found some questions pop up more often than others. Here they are:

Generally, our customers are startups, technology companies, and digital agencies with 1–30 employees. But we think Waydev is a great match for any forward thinking company no matter the industry. If you’re not sure Waydev is right for you, please get in touch with us.

The metric you need to watch, week-by-week. At Waydev, we developed the "Activity" metric to analyze performance data. Activity takes the following into consideration: (1) The highest chunk of activity you did in the past, (2) The average activity of a developer based on our research and (3) The behavior of your activity in the last weeks.

A commit is an action made by a developer to save his work; it is like you click "save" in a text document.

Waydev it is an addon to your project management tool, without your developers' input. A non-technical manager will correlate our report with his weekly output, and he will understand better his technical team. We're cooking a new feature, an assistant who will help you with tips and interpretation of the results.
We're figuring out the week with the most activity in your repositories (ex: 12 months).

Of course! Our freemium plan it is foreever free. In our freemium plan our features are limited. Your trial account and be up and running in just a few clicks. At the end of your trial, you will be asked for payment details to continue the service without interruption.

Since from the start of the repositories.

Yes, we can select the repositories, either from Github, Bitbucket and Gitlab or all three.

Waydev is based on tiered pricing, the number of developers currently contributing on your team.

We accept Visa, Mastercard or American Express. Waydev is also available on an annual subscription plan at a discounted rate.

We want you to use Waydev because you’re happy with the service, not because you signed a contract. You can cancel anytime. If you’re on the year prepay plan, we will provide a refund for the remaining unelapsed full months.

Your security is critical to us. We do not keep a copy of your repositories, we only copy the "GIT" folder and right away after our analyzation is done we delete it. We always connect via SSH key pairs. When you disconnect your repositories, all associated data is purged from the system. This can be accomplished securely by allowing public access via secure SSH access to internal repositories. This ensures that all data transmitted to Waydev is done over a secure protocol, and allows our customers to maintain strict authentication and access security using SSH keys. Waydev is built on the Amazon AWS service. We currently store all data in a secure database. To find out more information about Amazon’s security and infrastructure, please visit their security statement: https://aws.amazon.com/security/

This can happen if you've got people on your team contributing under multiple handles, e.g. multiple email addresses associated with a GIT account. To manage author identities, go to TEAM-EDIT > then select the developers you want to merge and click the green "Merge" button. If you need to detach or ignore a developer, that option is found behind the same page.

Yes! Support is included as part of your plan — no extra fees to worry about. Your dedicated account manager is happy to answer any questions you might have. We strive to address questions in a day or less.
