New: Developer Experience (DX) through surveys ingested in Waydev

We are excited to launch our new Developer Experience (DX) Module, designed to give leaders the insights they need to identify the challenges their contributors face and unlock their full potential and have a positive developer experience.

Our new DX module allows you to send surveys to your entire team via Slack or Teams (soon), giving you real-time insights into their mood, frustrations, and potential blockers. You can create custom surveys or use our templates to better understand your team’s experience.

You can send surveys to any team member, schedule them to align with your team’s availability, set reminders, and even establish recurring surveys and anonymity. 

Once you set up your surveys, your team will receive questions via Slack and can respond directly in the chat with our Slackbot.

After this, you will see the results of the survey in Waydev, so you can understand what’s the overall feeling in your team, how they feel about their workload, the clarity of their tasks, and any other areas you choose to explore, so you can be able to improve the Developer Experience (DX). 

Here is how to do this!

You will find the new Developer Experience (DX) in our Health section, and here is how to set this up:

• You can choose between a new blank survey, to create one based on your needs, and our templates, customized for multiple use cases (Developer Experience Pulse, Async Stand-up, Sprint Retrospective, and more)

• If you create your own survey, you can set up questions. You can customize this any way you like by dragging and dropping the elements from the right side. Customize your questions in any format you want: allow your contributors to share their experience by text, choosing predefined options or simply sharing their mood through an emoji.

• Select the contributors to whom you want to send your Developer Experience (DX) surveys and schedule it whenever you want.
• You can also set up recurrence – set how often the survey will be sent to participants until the end date.

See your Developer Experience (DX) Survey Answers

You can see the answers and results for any of your surveys by clicking the View button corresponding to the survey.

Here is what you can see after a survey has been completed:

• Session Responses: How many participants out of the invited ones responded?
• Session Response Rate: The percentage of participants who responded.
• Insights: See the overall sentiment, cause for concern, and keywords used in the survey.
• Suggestions: Offers help based on Insights.
• Answers: View all the answers to the questions with detailed information about the selected options.
