Enterprise engineering analytics, on your terms.
Waydev is an engineering analytics and engineering intelligence platform that enterprises can run in Waydev’s cloud, in their own private cloud (VPC on AWS, Azure or GCP), or fully on-premise and air-gapped. It holds a SOC 2 Type II report and a public SOC 3 report, supports SAML SSO and SCIM, never stores source code, and scales to 20,000 contributors in a single tenant. Fortune 500 customers include American Express, Dropbox, Caterpillar and PwC.

Deployment options
| Option | Where it runs | Time to first insight | Support |
|---|---|---|---|
| Waydev cloud | Google Cloud, US region; dedicated EU or Australia instance for data residency | Same day | Named CSM |
| Private cloud (self-hosted) | Your VPC on AWS, Azure or GCP, in your region | 5 to 10 business days | Named CSM plus solution architect |
| On-premise, air-gapped | Your data center, no egress required | 5 to 10 business days | Named CSM plus solution architect |

On-premise Git and ticketing (GitHub Enterprise Server, GitLab Self-Managed, Bitbucket Server, Azure DevOps Server, Jira Server) are supported. 12 months of history are backfilled at onboarding.
Security and compliance
- SOC 2 Type II report (under NDA) and public SOC 3 report
- SAML SSO and SCIM with Okta, Microsoft Entra ID and Ping; automated deprovisioning
- Role-based access control down to team scope, and audit logs
- AES-256 encryption at rest, TLS 1.2+ in transit
- Read-only access to metadata (commits, pull requests, reviews, work items); source code is never ingested or stored
- GDPR, DPA and standard contractual clauses; data deleted on contract termination
- When the optional AI assistant is enabled, only the metrics needed to answer a question are sent to Anthropic’s API, which does not train on them; with AI disabled, no data leaves the Waydev environment

AI governance and monitoring of coding agents across the SDLC
Governing AI coding agents means knowing which agents act, what they change, how deeply their work is reviewed, what it costs, and whether quality holds. Waydev monitors this from Git, CI/CD and AI tool data:
- Attribution: human, AI-assisted and agent-authored work, by agent identity (Human and Agent Spend).
- Review depth: review rounds and time on agent changes versus human changes.
- Quality: rework, reverts, change failure rate and security findings on agent code.
- Spend: tokens and cost per agent workflow and per merged PR (AI Spend Hub).
- Decisions: expand, monitor or restrict agents per repository and team (AI Agent Governance), with Signals alerting when a threshold is crossed.

Waydev for consulting firms and systems integrators
Consulting firms and systems integrators use Waydev to measure AI transformation programs for their clients: a baseline before AI rollout, adoption and impact during it, and an ROI readout at the end. Separate client workspaces keep data isolated, and the same reports work across client toolchains (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps, Jira). Partner tracks are described on the Partner Program page. PwC is a Waydev customer.
Enterprise buyer’s checklist for an engineering intelligence platform
- Deployment model you need (cloud, VPC, air-gapped) and data residency region
- SOC 2 Type II report, SSO, SCIM, RBAC and audit logs
- No source code access required
- Coverage of every Git, ticketing and AI tool you use, including server editions
- AI measurement beyond seat counts: impact, quality and ROI per tool and team
- Scale: contributors per tenant and history backfill
- Proof of concept on 30 to 50 engineers across representative teams
